In a decisive blow against counterfeiting, the DERIS brand enforcement team has successfully intercepted 5,830 units of counterfeit dishwashing detergent—equivalent to nearly 9 tons—during a high-impact raid in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul. This operation marks a pivotal step in safeguarding consumer safety and upholding intellectual property rights in the cleaning products industry.

• Seizure Details: The raid uncovered 5,830 units of 1.5 kg counterfeit dishwashing detergents, which posed significant risks to public health due to their substandard quality.
• Strategic Location: The operation took place near the Ambarlı Customs Directorate, just 5 kilometers away, in a region known for counterfeit activities. In this way, both the distribution of products in the domestic market and the entry of products to the foreign market were prevented.
• A Repeat Offender Brought to Justice: This isn’t the first time DERIS has acted against this counterfeiter. Just six months ago, DERIS carried out another successful raid against the same manufacturer, seizing a large number of counterfeit detergents under a different brand. Despite attempts to evade detection by switching brands, the infringer’s operations have once again been shut down, reinforcing DERIS’s commitment to combating repeat offenders.
