DERIS represents a leading international media group in a high-profile trademark dispute concerning the rebranding of one of Türkiye’s most prominent nationwide television channels. With the channel’s new identity and broadcasting operations at stake, DERIS developed a coordinated strategy covering trademark prosecution, administrative proceedings, non-use proceedings and civil litigation. The Istanbul IP Court granted a preliminary injunction preventing the adverse party from using the conflicting trademark, securing an important interim victory while the wider dispute remains pending.

DERIS combined digital investigation, criminal enforcement and settlement negotiations to shut down a network of illegal streaming websites hosting thousands of films and TV series. The settlement also secured the transfer of the related domain names, cutting off access to a platform attracting more than 28 million visits each month.

Within four months of detecting the threat, DERIS identified and stopped the developer of a prohibited hacking bot targeting film studios’ closed systems. Its deactivation prevented the unauthorized release of two globally anticipated productions and protected content representing tens of millions of dollars in potential losses.

DERIS led coordinated action against a hacker distributing copyrighted content through five accounts with more than 10,000 followers and holding over 100 stolen accounts belonging to entertainment companies. The accounts were shut down and the hacker was arrested for 6 months.
